With this ring, I thee wed. It took me a while to get back to blogging because I was at a wedding in St. Louis, Missouri. One of the benefits of being the officiant is that I had their wedding bands in my possession for a time. I photographed them on my stole that I purchased from the Arab Women's Union in Bethlehem, West Bank. When I was finished taking the photos I settled down to write my reflection for the service. For other reflections check out Jame's Weekend Reflection.

ReplyDeleteHello Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and the story behind is about love and for sure an adorable post and fabulous idea for this weekend reflection.
Please, forgive my poor English, but in fact I could not understand the meaning of "officiant"it's the first time that I see this word. You know my mother tongue is Portuguese and I'm living in Luxembourg with my family now and studying French here.So that my English is not good indeed.
Thanks for your kind visit, I liked a lot your blog, and your header picture is LOVELY, I love flowers!
Hugs from Luxembourg

Thank you all for your comments. The word "officient" means that I was the person who presided over the worship service and actually married the couple.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your blog post
