West Rock Ridge Park

West Rock Ridge Park rises close to 700 feet above mean sea level and it is one of the most prominent features of the New Haven region. You can see approximately 200 square miles from various locations on the ridge with excellent views of New Haven Harbor and Long Island Sound.
I find it curious that we are so close to sea level and then West Rock looms over us. You can read more about it here.
