The squirrels here are friendly, nervy I'd even say. I blogged one other day about this rodent population of Wooster Square. They are real tempters, they just sit when dogs approach them, they glare at you holding an acorn with their little furry paws, they come up to the peanut guy who practically feeds them by hand. Somehow though, the dogs NEVER get them, they're too fast. They sit just long enough, eyeing you and then when the dog makes a move they scurry up a tree. Unharmed. Now that the trees have lost their leaves Milo always looks up and barks as they jump from tree to tree. This brazen fur ball above was only three feet away from me.
When I lived in Jerusalem in order to see a squirrel you had to go to the Zoo to see one.
Go figure!
A squirrel in the zoo?! haha!
